Located in Green Lake County near Montello (Marquette County), Princeton and Marquette, Lake Puckaway is 8 miles long and 2 miles wide. It has a surface area of 5,039 acres, a maximum depth of 5 feet and an average depth of 3 feet. The Fox River drains into Lake Puckaway making it a great fishing lake. Several public boat launches surround the lake. Fish species are abundant and large: Bluegill, Crappies, Perch, Largemouth Bass, Muskie, Northern Pike, Sturgeon, Walleye and Catfish. The Wisconsin State Record for a 38 lb. Northern Pike was taken from Lake Puckaway. Lots of activities, great dining and shopping are nearby in Marquette, Montello, Princeton and Green Lake. |
