LP1 on Lake Puckaway Located in Green Lake County near Marquette and Montello, Lake Puckaway is 6 miles long and 2 miles wide. It has a surface area of 5,039 acres, a maximum depth of 5 feet and an average depth of 3 feet. The Fox River drains into Lake Puckaway making it a great fishing lake. A concrete boat launch provides access to the lake.
Fish species are abundant and large: Bluegill, Crappies, Perch, Largemouth Bass, Muskie, Northern Pike, Sturgeon, Walleye and Catfish. The Wisconsin State Record for a 38 lb. Northern Pike was taken from Lake Puckaway. Recent stocking has added several million Walleye and hundreds of thousands of Perch, Bluegill, and recently Muskies, insuring a great future for Lake Puckaway.
